Expertise and activities

Florentina Asllanaj advises clients on all legal matters relating to blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and trademark law.

Her work includes supporting clients in meeting regulatory requirements (e.g. BaFin licences), representing them against allegations connected with crypto fraud, and asserting civil law claims arising from crypto losses.

In addition, Ms Asllanaj advises on trademark law. She provides support with the registration and strategic development of trademarks, as well as with the enforcement and defence of trademark rights. This includes, in particular, handling opposition and cancellation proceedings, as well as asserting trademark rights against third parties both in and out of court.

Career

Florentina Asllanaj studied law at the University of Hamburg. During her studies, she completed an internship in New York as well as internships at medium-sized commercial law firms in Hamburg. She also attended Trinity University in San Antonio (Texas).

After successfully passing the First State Examination, Ms Asllanaj completed her legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) of Schleswig-Holstein. As part of this, she carried out one of her placements at a renowned medium-sized commercial law firm in Hamburg, where she worked primarily in contract, transport and employment law.

After successfully passing the Second State Examination, she joined SBS Legal in February 2025.
