Expertise and activities

Jannik Pfannenstiel advises companies and founders in all areas of intellectual property law, in particular in competition and trademark disputes as well as in copyright matters, both in and out of court.

A key focus of his work lies in food and cosmetics law. Here, Mr Pfannenstiel supports his clients with product development, strategic considerations regarding distribution, the protection of know-how, and all matters relating to advertising.

Career

Mr Pfannenstiel completed his law studies at Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel). Already during his studies, he specialised in commercial law, in particular in intellectual property as well as copyright and antitrust law.

After successfully passing the First State Examination, he completed his two-year legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) of Schleswig, including a placement at a successful medium-sized law firm, where he was also employed as a research assistant during his clerkship. After successfully passing the Second State Examination, he began his career as a project lawyer at an international large-scale law firm, and has been working as an attorney at SBS Legal Rechtsanwälte since September 2022.

Mr Pfannenstiel has been part of the SBS LEGAL team since September 2022.
