Attorney Laura Brown specialises in providing legal advice to companies operating in the digital environment, with a focus on e-commerce, e-learning law and competition law matters. She advises national and international companies, platform operators and service providers from the digital sector.

A further focus of her work lies in food and cosmetics law. Here, she supports product development, provides strategic advice on market entry and distribution, protects companies' internal know-how, and ensures legally compliant communication and advertising.

Career

Laura Brown studied law at the University of Hamburg, including a semester abroad at the Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain). During her studies, she worked first as a research assistant and, after completing her degree, as a graduate lawyer (Diplomjuristin) at a renowned Hamburg law firm. She completed her legal clerkship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) of Rostock, with placements including the Regional Court (Landgericht) of Schwerin and a long-established law firm in Schwerin, where she was extensively involved in client work, both out of court and in court proceedings.

After passing the Second State Examination, she returned to her home city of Hamburg and has been part of the SBS Legal team since 2023.
