What are the costs for an initial consultation?

A phone call and initial contact with our law firm is, of course, free of charge. An initial consultation with a legal advisor usually takes place at a fixed flat rate (from €190 net). During this initial consultation, you can describe your situation in detail to your case worker. Further consultation on a case always depends on the scope and complexity of the case. It is best to discuss this directly with your case worker, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to make an appointment with us! After all, the initial contact is free of charge.

How much does legal advice generally cost at SBS Legal?

We work with various remuneration models. For example, we work on a time basis, on a fee basis, or at a flat rate. This really depends on your case and cannot be answered in general terms. If you have any questions about fees on an hourly basis, please consult the relevant case worker. Some cases are billed according to the Remuneration Ordinance and Remuneration Act, and flat fees should also be discussed with the respective case worker. For private matters, legal expenses insurance may also be able to help you.

What documents should I bring to the initial consultation?

After the free initial consultation, you will usually be asked to submit all available documents relating to your case so that we can gain a comprehensive overview of your case in advance. This saves time and money and is in the interests of both parties in order to find a quick and solution-oriented approach to the matter. Please submit all relevant documents and records relating to your case.

How long does it take to process an average legal case?

The duration of a legal case varies depending on its complexity. However, we always strive to process your case efficiently and quickly.

Does SBS Legal offer free initial consultations?

We do not offer free initial consultations as a matter of principle. There is a distinction between initial contact and initial consultation. Legal advice (or initial consultation) is subject to a fee under the professional regulations governing lawyers. In some cases, a lawyer may have a few questions about the matter in advance during a kick-off meeting, e.g., via Zoom or Teams. This serves as an opportunity to get to know each other personally so that your concerns can be presented in more detail. However, this still falls under the category of initial contact. You will be informed transparently about the costs of an initial consultation during your initial contact with our law firm.

We accept payments by bank transfer (online banking), cash, and PayPal.

You can inquire about the progress of your case at any time by phone or email.

Do you also offer online consultations?

Absolutely! In fact, it is very common for us to communicate via video call (Zoom, Teams), telephone, or email. Our clients are located throughout Germany, and many also operate internationally. Face-to-face meetings at short notice are relatively rare, and communication via various online media is part of our daily business!
